Y’all—
Can you even believe it’s November? Personally, I could use an extra month this year. But seeing as how 2023 is right around the corner, we are gearing up for the first anniversary of The New Futurists! Major thanks to all of you for making 2022 an absolute blast for me and all of my phenomenal collaborators!
Through the end of November, we’re running a 25% discount for paid subscriptions. If you enjoy the stories we tell here, consider subscribing below!
And a quick message for all of our Visionary tier subscribers: we’ll be sending out your remaining 2022 rewards in mid-December. Our Visionary supporters have gone above and beyond to keep the lights on here at The New Futurists in our first year and I cannot WAIT to send you some special gifts!
The Southern Gothic team loves getting messages from y’all. The next edition of our reader correspondence column, “The Purloined Letters,” will drop in January. So if you have a question, comment, fan theory, or joke for us, send an email to thenewfuturists@gmail.com before the end of December! Remember to include “Southern Gothic” in the subject and if you’re okay with your letter being included in a future installment of The Purloined Letters please indicate “OKAY TO PRINT.”
We’d like to extend a warm welcome to today’s cover artist: Case Elledge! Case is a brilliant artist based in Appalachian Tennessee. Get this: a few weeks ago, Jon and I were in Bristol, TN/VA and would you believe that we ran into Case in the wild? Case and I had never met before IRL, so it was such a treat. Do yourself a favor: head over to their Etsy shop and pick up a print or something nice. Also, if you should find yourself in Bristol, might I suggest a tour of State Street:

As always, please remember that Southern Gothic is a horror comic and is not suitable for all readers. Chapter eight features depictions of blood, gore, psychological horror, gun violence, and supernatural horror. Reader discretion is advised.
If you’re interested in joining Special Agent Grant in his investigation, consider a paid subscription. See you in the funny papers!
